U-Haul Frequently Asked Questions

There are two types of moves with U-Haul. A in-town move includes a flat fee for the rental period, plus a per km charge. The second one-way move rates are determined by truck size and destination duration. The one-way price includes so many kilometers and a set number of days depending on your destination. At Janssen Property Management you may pay for a rental with debit or credit card. If renting the cargo van or pick up truck, a credit card is required on file. When paying with debit a deposit may be required depending on your rental. 

 If you are returning a truck  during our regular business hours, you can drive into our compound and come  into our office to the right, park the vehicle out front and bring the keys into our office and we will assist you with returning it.

If you are returning the truck afterhours you can park the truck out front, in a spot that is not blocking the gate or other vehicles entering the driveway and put the keys in the afterhours drop box attached to the fence. We will return the truck in the next business day.

In most cases many personal auto insurance policies will not cover U-Haul truck rentals due to the weight restriction on the rental vehicle. U-Haul offers insurance on their truck and trailer rentals. For more information click here. 

On all our U-Haul pickup truck, 15', 20' and 26' trucks they will seat three passengers. Our U-Haul cargo van and 10' box truck they will seat two passengers. 

Yes, you must return the fuel level to the same level it was when you rented it at as shown on your rental contract. All trucks use regular unleaded gas. 

You do not need a special driver's license to rent U-Haul equipment. You must be 16 years of age to rent a trailer and 18 years of age to rent a truck. A government-issued driver's license is required to rent our trucks and trailers.
